Who knows? I think this will continue to be a problem, as Valkeakoski is becoming more and more of a suburb of Tampere. 4,000 members sounds extraordinarily high, but I suppose if you include all the junior players in valkeakoski, and their families, you might edge towards that figure.

10% sounds like a lot, but I have understood Haka have some 4000 members (just something I've heard, no official stats that I know of to back my thoughts). Where are they?

Things have changed since last season. TPS have been crappy, but they got the equalizer at TamU and came back to win Honka last night, both occasions being something that wouldn't have taken place last year. On the other hand TamU are losing or drawing games they should win and have yet to record a three-pointer.

It looks damn interesting now, with the top title candidates TPS and HJK having only one point separating them. (Interestingly, HJK have only conceded once while TPS has both and conceded six goals).

I thought Jaro could be up for surprises, but it seems their work has been cut out for now. I'd love to see them go up in the table though. However, I hope Sunday is not gonna be the day they do that...

Crazymadpropsbigupyourself to Joonas Pöntinen, KuPS's 18 year old third choice keeper who played at HJK and kept a clean sheet. That result came out of nowhere, and it does piss on HJK's chips a bit as their next game is away at 100% Inter, which will be tough for them.

Haka and TamU were both pretty poor. TamU's system was a bit more solid as Saarinen played well in his midfield holding role, but he's not as fit as he used to be. Pohja was everywhere, Niemi was decent, Rafinha was stupidly fast and skillful, but they're still not quite a 'team'.

Mikko Manninen was excellent, and for the goal showed the problems TamU's midfield has, as he was left to pick his pass with ease, only 30-40 yards from goal.

TamU were lucky to get a point.

Glad to see things are still ticking over nicely here. I check in regularly and it’s a great read.

Thanks for linking to Hobo Tread in your sidebar, but could I inform you the site has changed name. It is now Dub Steps and at http://dubsteps.blogspot.com . If you could update your links I would of course be very grateful.

Have a good summer

IFK haven't been too good recently, but maybe they can build on their strong second half showing against KTP, and they got a surprising win at MyPa. I have no idea there, to be honest - it will be a good indicator as to the kind of season both sides can expect.

hey
Today we have two matches, very interesting in my opinion will be Jaro - IFK, Jaro have some score chances in last game and im very disappointed that, they dont score though one goal, they deserve for it. IFK strong performance in 2st half and they deserve to win at awful defensive KTP, i think that today we will see plenty of goals and i will support Jaro, what are u think about that game?
