KuPS hammered by RoPS, Jaro lose three points and Jonas Emet

RoPS built their convincing 4-0 win against KuPS on some excellent finishing at the offensive end. Chileshe Chibwe netted twice to give RoPS a 2-0 lead and the job was finished by Mika Nurmela and Juha Majava in the second half. Chibwe scored his first in the 6th with an excellent header and bagged another in the 27th minute, beautifully putting the ball behind Iiskola. Nurmela then buried the ball in the top corner in the second half, and the last goal of the night was a great strike by Majava.

KuPS had some chances, but lacked composure in front of the goal and could not turn chances into goals. The win was deserved for RoPS, who made sure the game would not look like a battle between two recently promoted teams.

Inter know how to score lucky goals. Last week against MyPa, Jos Hooiveld scored without even trying. Tonight against Jaro, Severi Paajanen’s game-winning strike barely crossed the line. In fact, looking at the highlight clip, I cannot possibly tell whether the ball crossed the line or not. I suppose that is why they have referees at games, and tonight’s officials solved the problem in Inter’s favour without hesitation.
The highlight clip also shows that Jaro had enough chances to at least draw the game, but did not show considerable interest in scoring. What it does not show, however, is Jonas Emet possibly breaking his arm. With him joining the injury list, Jaro will be in trouble.
